DNP Image Enhancement ICs are receiving a high reputation in the image device market. Adding a video decoder to the image enhancement IC, DNP has developed the DT018054VD which enables the user to connect directly to the analog output product and to use a wider variety of applications.

DT018054 Series features image contrast adjustment using the "Algorithm", developed by Apical Limited (HQ in London, England). This feature allows adjustment to the digital image contrast in real time. It can project or record the images clearly and accurately by altering the contrast of the brighter and darker areas in the image.

In response to higher performance and pixel densities of image capture devices, such as, CCD and CMOS sensors, image information is increasing its capacity; however, huge amount of information makes it difficult to record the image faithfully. Most of the light and dark areas of an image lose detail. Based on the dynamic range process of human eye retina cells, DNP DT018054 IC Series has the ability to realize beautiful images more accurately and with better contrast by utilizing the featured "Algorithm".

By installing the DNP DT018054 contrast adjustment ICs to an image input device (security camera, digital camera, scanner) it will adjust the original image to the appropriate contrast balance before compression or recording. Installing the DNP DT018054 Series to image output devices; such as, LCD or projector, allows for the creation of a clearer contrast on the bright-dark areas, which would be lost in the image detail. The DNP DT018054 product also makes it possible to provide higher quality image using less power consumption on the display.
